HIGH SHANK STITCH IN THE DITCH FOOT / edge joing foot
This foot as metal bar in the center, forward position to guide and/or separate fabric.
Stitch in a ditch (topstitching) method: Set machine on straight stitch center needle position. Foot guides stitches into previous sewn seam.
Edging method: Set machine on straight stitch left needle position. Use metal bar as guide for top stitching on the edge of the fabric or wide pintuck.
Joining (Spanish hemstitching) method: This foot helps separate two pieces of fabric or trim (lace) using zig-zag or decorative stitch (i.e. feather stitch)
